Luz Abril Torres Méndez

I am a Professor in the Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Group at the CINVESTAV (Centre for Research and Advanced Studies) in Saltillo, Mexico.

My primary research interests are in computer vision and mobile robotics. In particular, in the 3D environment modeling, active perception, human-robot interaction, transferring cognitive skills to robots, underwater robotics, underwater image enhancement; super-resolution and color synthesis on faces.

About me

I was born in Minatitlán, Veracruz, Mexico. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science from McGill University where I specialized in computer vision and mobile robots at  the Centre for Intelligent Machines under the supervision of  Gregory Dudek.
